Samsung Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with NAMI to Explore Collaboration in Engineering, Technology, and Innovation

Samsung and NAMI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore potential collaboration opportunities across diversified strategic areas, aiming at enhancing innovation, efficiency, and localization in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.
Under this agreement, Samsung will provide technical expertise, global best practices, and industry insights while facilitating access to important data, resources, and partners to enhance collaboration. Meanwhile, NAMI will identify relevant projects, align efforts with Vision 2030, and ensure seamless integration by leveraging local resources and related companies.
The main pillar of the partnership includes departmental integration, where Samsung will connect NAMI with divisions such as Samsung Energy and Samsung Electronics to reduce construction timelines, lower costs, and improve safety. This initiative will be implemented within Engineering, Procurement, and Construction project execution.
In this regard, Mr. Hendrick Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia stated: “Signing this MoU is another step we take towards fostering innovation in Saudi Arabia. Through this partnership, Samsung and NAMI aim to create cutting-edge solutions that enhance technological capabilities, and contribute to the transformation of key industries in Saudi Arabia.”
He also added: “At Samsung, we look forward to enhancing our contribution in developing the communities we operate in, that’s why we put our efforts and expertise to drive technological advancements and support towards localization and R&D within Saudi Arabia, which align with Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”
Through this collaboration, NAMI will explore opportunities to supply 3D printers to Samsung clients and develop locally manufactured accessories and spare parts. Additionally, Samsung CNT and NAMI will work together on custom modular buildings, sustainable energy projects, and eco-friendly technologies.
It’s also worth mentioning that under the framework of this collaboration, customized solutions will be offered to the Saudi community, whether through creating device holders for schools and B2B markets, support in sourcing rare and long-lead spare parts across MENA, and the customization for Samsung Medical equipment, or through integrating advanced technologies, including IoT, AI, and smart automation into projects to offer innovative infrastructure solutions.
